My name is Alexis Sweet and I am a Savannah based wedding and lifestyle photographer. I am originally from Cleveland, OH. I attended school for photography in Chicago, and migrated south to Savannah in 2008. I just sort of fell into doing wedding photography. I immediately fell in love with the idea of documenting a day in someone’s life. Not just any day, but the best day. It was that enjoyment that lead me to branch into lifestyle and boudoir photography. My style is honest and candid. I take to heart my important task of documenting your experience. To show emotion, love, and truth. My job as a photographer has allowed me to follow my dreams of travel, bringing others joy through my passion, and not having to wake up before 9am unless its a shoot day.
So what is it like to work with me? I think its important to get to know you, my clients. It helps me better understand your needs, and I feel like I can better capture your personalities. I will do everything I can to make the time we spend together fun and memorable. I will probably compliment your mother-in-law on her hair or shoes. I’m not exactly a fly on the wall, but I’m not intrusive either. I like to participate in your big day and always do my best to offer bobbie pins, advice, or an extra hand where needed. I will work with all of your other vendors to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. Lastly, I love the internet! It’s a very convenient and easy form of communication and sharing. That is why all of my contracts are digital, as is the delivery of your digital negatives. This is not only faster but lowers our impact on the environment, and we can all feel a little better about saving one tree at a time. So thats it! You can contact me using the contact link at the top of the page for information and bookings. I look forward to talking with you!
I’d like to share with you some of my silly thoughts. The best food in the world is a Chicago hot dog from a street cart in Wicker Park. Wanderlust is an addictive and expensive habit. I’m very proud of having travelled to all but one continent. I know how to be professional and have fun at the same time. Laughter is the best medicine, especially when one is being too hard on themselves.
